JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: MAINTENANCE MECHANIC
FLSA: NON-EXEMPT
DIVISION: SERVICES - FACILITIES
REPORTS TO: LEAD MAINTENANCE MECHANIC
LOCATION: Rego Park, NY
SALARY: $40,000 to $45,000
SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Mechanic performs all necessary interior and exterior facility repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, window, and lock work of a Family homeless shelter. Keeps facility in working order using troubleshooting techniques and performing repairs as necessary. Fills in for Custodian/Driver in his/her absence and on designated shifts. Reports to the Lead Mechanic. Scheduled hours of work will vary based on the needs of the facility. Weekend and evening hours are required. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED with English and Math skills required. Trade/Technical School training is a plus. Two (2) years of mechanical experience and experience with floor care equipment and procedures are necessary. Valid NYS Driver's license & clean record required.
