Responsibilities

  • Providing psychiatric services to clients virtually using the ICANotes platform.
  • Assessing, diagnosing, and treating children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly experiencing symptoms of behavioral health disorders.
  • Managing medications by prescribing, recommending, or discontinuing drugs and treatments to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.
  • Working with therapists, social workers, or other members of the OCCWS treatment team members to coordinate client care.
  • Completing medical records, including assessment, treatment plan, progress notes, outcome measures in ICANotes.
  • Providing counseling to clients during appointments as necessary.
  • Establishing/modifying individualized treatment plans based on assessments and/or evaluations.
  • Ordering clients' laboratory or diagnostic tests and examining their results.
  • Communicating with clients' guardians, relatives, and significant others on their conditions and treatment.
  • Documenting services provided in compliance with OCCWS regulations and practice, all local, state, and federal laws, as well as payor rules and regulations.
  • Facilitating for improvement quality of service quality.
  • Establishing open lines of communication for individuals with mental or emotional issues.
  • Offering assistance to individuals with mental and behavioral issues.
  • Providing prevention-oriented, cognitive behavior, dialectical behavioral, or psychoanalysis therapies.
  • Developing and Implementing treatment plans.
  • Collaborating with in-house Psychiatrist and Psychiatrist Nurse Practitioners, other treatment providers, and placement agencies.

Qualifications

Required

  • Doctorate Degree in Nursing specializing in Psychiatric nursing.
  • Graduate from a state-certified advanced practice program specializing in psychiatry/mental health.
  • At least 1-2 years providing direct client care to persons receiving treatment for psychiatric disorders.
  • Ability to work with children, adolescents, adult, and the elderly.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality, client-centered care.
  • Independently be able to document in and navigate ICANotes.
  • Conforming to HIPAA privacy standards.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with individuals involved in all aspects of treatment.
  • Proficiency in computers, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work effectively with OCCWS multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to foster teamwork; train and direct the work of team members and colleagues.

Here at Optimum Care Counseling and Wellness Solutions, our goal is to help our clients use their individual strengths to gain insight into their problems and feel more in control of their lives. We are seeking Nurse practitioners in Mental, Behavioral Health and/or in Counseling fields. in case you don't have a license to practice in Pennsylvania, we can help you in getting it and and be able to practice your profession by working and by being supervised by us. We are offering flexible hours Monday through Friday from 9:00 am until 9:00 pm and Saturday 9:00 am until 4:00 pm looking for a minimum of 15 to 20 hours worked on a weekly basis. You will provide individual counseling services to children, adults and the elderly remotely in your home office as we are 100% virtual. We use a robust electronic health records system which includes a telehealth platform to see patients virtually.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Providing psychiatric services to clients virtually using the ICANotes platform; scope of services includes outpatient psychiatric evaluations and medication management services during scheduled hours.
  • Assessing, diagnosing, and treating children, adolescents, adults and the elderly experiencing symptoms of behavioral health disorders
  • Managing medications by prescribing, recommending, or discontinuing drugs and treatments to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders
  • Efficiently work with therapists, social workers, or other members of the OCCWS treatment team members to coordinate client care
  • Timely and accurate completion of medical records, including assessment, treatment plan, progress notes, outcome measures in ICANotes
  • Provide counseling to clients during appointments as necessary

Based on patient's needs and demands we are among the few practices in the state currently offering diagnosis and treatment for ADD/ADHD with the use of FDA approved testing approved by insurance.
