Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Veterinary Technician to join our team at HUB Veterinary Group. This role is pivotal in overseeing and supporting our team of veterinary technicians while ensuring optimal patient care and driving practice success through efficient clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership & Management:

• Manage and mentor a team of veterinary technicians, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
• Assign daily tasks, oversee workflow, and ensure efficient use of staff during appointments and procedures.
• Conduct performance evaluations, assist in hiring, and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.

2. Fostering a Positive Team Culture:

• Promote and cultivate a supportive, team-oriented culture that encourages open communication and respect among staff members.
• Lead by example in establishing a professional, drama-free, and non-toxic workplace, ensuring that conflicts are addressed constructively and promptly.
• Actively contribute to creating an environment where every team member feels valued and empowered to contribute to the practice's success.

3. Best Practices & Protocols:

• Ensure the highest standards of patient care by developing, implementing, and enforcing protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Provide guidance on best practices for safety, patient handling, anesthesia, surgery, diagnostics, and client education.
• Stay current with industry trends, offering innovative ideas to improve hospital practices.

4. Operational Efficiency & Revenue Growth:

• Assist in managing the flow of appointments and hospital workflow to ensure that all patient care is timely and efficient.
• Work closely with veterinarians to improve scheduling and minimize delays, ultimately increasing hospital revenue.
• Assist in inventory management to ensure supplies are adequately stocked and properly utilized.

5. Client Communication & Education:

• Act as a liaison between clients and the veterinary team, providing clear communication and education on patient care, treatment plans, and aftercare.
• Support the practice in driving positive client experiences and ensuring high standards of customer service.

6. Technical Duties:

• Perform routine veterinary technician duties, including assisting in surgery, anesthesia monitoring, diagnostics, lab work, patient care, and treatments.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) required.
• Extensive experience as a veterinary technician, with leadership or supervisory experience highly preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Knowledge of veterinary best practices, patient care protocols, and operational efficiency.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure under pressure.

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $40.00 - $45.00/hour.
