Certified Medical Assistant

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team! You will be responsible for delivering high quality care to assigned patients.

​Responsibilities:

• Care for ill, injured, or convalescing patients
• Provide basic patient care and treatment
• Work as a team with medical assistants and licensed practical nurse to provider excellent patient care in the office setting
• Fulfill orders from providers to administer prescribed injectable medications and vaccinations
• Obtain vital signs and review medication, allergies, social, family and surgical history at patient office visits.
• Educate and update patients on medical treatments including but not limited to CGM placement.
• Document completion of orders in the patient's chart including scanning out doses of vaccines through the Vaxcare Hub.

​Qualifications:

• Previous experience in nursing or medical assisting
• Experience in the medical office setting
• Knowledge of medical terms and laboratory testing results
• Basic understanding of medications and what each is use to treat
• Familiarity with medical tools and equipment
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Compassionate and caring demeanor towards both patients and coworkers
• Ability to work independently and as a team to provide outstanding, patient-centered care
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
