INTRODUCTION TO ROLE (Seasonal role)
A mechanical self-starter who can ensure property operations run smoothly and safely. Key competencies include mechanical aptitude to maintain many operations, quick ability to identify and root-cause mechanical systems, and adeptness at proactive systems management to ensure optimal performance.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The maintenance mechanic has a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read a tape measure and use other precise measurement tools. Has the ability to solve problems in real-time. Converts problems into actionable solutions and provides work instructions to the team.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Supervise maintenance and grounds support staff to maintain ongoing operations and property systems.
    • Support recruitment, hiring, and development of staff
    • Schedule and manage to ensure operational needs are met through adequate staffing plans while managing the budget
    • Supports team to solve problems, educates, mentors, and coaches staff for training and development of skills
  • Leads maintenance, operation, and preventative needs for the entire property and onsite facilities, including, but not limited to, landscaping, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, generators, water treatment systems, and general housekeeping; includes analysis and operational knowledge to address issues, fix problems, perform routine maintenance
  • Leads and completes projects according to specifications, timelines, and budgets. Regularly establishes defined work processes and procedures
  • Performs regular inspects to ensure optimal conditions and safety protocols are met or exceeded
  • Effectively communicates with property department heads for all property operational needs or coordination of activities
  • Works cohesively with management to lead, support, and implement Capital Expenditures through interaction and management of staff, contractors, or other related individuals
  • The position may require a Manager on Duty responsibility which will require on-call or overnight hours to support emergencies or disruptive property concerns.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Provides regular and reliable attendance

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
The Maintenance Supervisor reports to the General Manager (GM).

WHAT YOU BRING

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Vocational Training or Certificate; completion of applicable trade apprenticeships
  • 3-5 years of supervisory and general maintenance experience
  • Ability to read and translate blueprints into job specifications and work orders
  • Ability to interpret instructions (written and oral) into actions
  • Effectively communicates to a variety of audiences
  • High regard for safety and regularly provides risk analysis of operations
  • Must be resourceful and self-motivated to work well under pressure
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. This position is active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The hospitality environment is fast-paced, and at times, you may be required to cover or assist with tasks/job functions outside of the job you were hired for. We require each of our team members to have an All-Hands-On-Deck mindset. This means you may be tasked with other functions and are expected to complete those tasks with the same level of enthusiasm and dedication as you would with your normal job duties.
