Job Title: Dietitian
Location: Peridot, AZ
Assignment Dates: October 14, 2024 - January 25, 2025

Preferred Qualifications:
• Registered Dietitian with CDCES credential
• Experience in a critical access hospital
Responsibilities:
1. Inpatient Unit:
• Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) including assessments, nutrition care planning, counseling, and education.
• Create individualized meal plans for disease management and complication prevention.
• Modify patient profiles based on nutritional needs, food intolerances, and preferences.
2. Outpatient Clinics:
• Support medical weight loss and diabetes management programs.
• Provide MNT for outpatients, including performing assessments, creating care plans, and follow-up.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert overseeing MNT for complex and high-risk patients.
3. Food Service Evaluation and Menu Development:
• Perform quality assurance checks in the food service department.
• Develop and evaluate menus to meet nutritional needs.
• Provide in-service education for food service personnel.
4. Education and Training:
• Conduct training programs for nursing staff, medical staff, students, healthcare personnel, and the general public.
• Provide nutrition-related presentations and information to the community.
5. Interdisciplinary Care:
• Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences to develop or update patient care plans.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics from an accredited college or university
• Completed a Didactic Program in Dietetics accredited by ACEND
• Current registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
• Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in planning regular and modified diets in a healthcare facility
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nutrition work experience with emphasis on medical nutrition therapy targeting chronic diseases and nutrition education throughout the life cycle
