Qualification: Graduate of an accredited high school or GED equivalency, some higher education referred but not necessary.
Hours worked: 36-40 hrs per week
General: Reports to the President and is responsible for precise installations and repairs of several different mobility/accessibility equipment.
Experience/Knowledge:
2 year minimum experience in similar operations of home medical equipment or equivalent. Must be a minimum of 21 years of age. Excellent driving record. Good physical shape. Good organizational skills and detailed oriented. Enjoying and willing to function as a team member. Responsible and cooperative attitude. Clean and neat in personal appearance.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Responsible for conducting and finishing assigned installations of mobility/accessibility products and equipment at client’s property in a timely fashion with a small error margin as possible, and without big interruptions to the client.
Responsible for annual service to installed mobility/accessibility product and equipment.
Responsible for servicing and troubleshooting of any equipment or product calls.
Responsible for retrieval of rented equipment and their proper handling and storage.
**(all of the above include but are not limited to stair lifts, auto lifts, ramps, vertical platforms)
Responsible for proper tracking, cleaning, repair, and maintenance of all equipment.
Responsible for the maintenance of the business fleet, including routine maintenance, repairs and cleanliness.
Maintains adequate supplies and equipment through ongoing monitoring of inventory. Assures that purchases are approved, completed, and expense reports are filed if needed.
Works with family or referral source, sales, and office personnel on installations, delivery and/or pick up arrangements if needed.
Responsible for finishing client paperwork, forwarding any photos or other documents pertinent to the job to the office personnel or uploading into Mobilink in a timely fashion (preferably at the end of the day/job, latest next working day).
Demonstrates timeliness, courtesy, sincerity, and patience when dealing with clients.
Promotes teamwork among co-workers, including assisting fellow workers, as needed.
Markets the company in a positive and professional manner at all times.
Assumes other duties within scope of training as assigned by the President or Operations Manager.
Works with Operations Manager and Sales/office personnel to meet the client’s needs for unusual equipment or supplies.
Environmental Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
You must be capable of using safe work practices with regard to moving home medical equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of OSHA regulations, fire regulations and traffic signals.
· Sitting in a seated position for extended periods of time (during travel time)
· Ability to get in and out of the business vehicle without trouble.
· Ability to work in all weather (as long as it is deemed safe)
· Reaching out by extending hands or arms in any direction.
· Possess basic mechanical skills.
· Ability to lift at least 50 pounds using safe work practices.
· Safely loading equipment in an orderly and secure manner.
· Communication skills using the spoken word, both in person and over the telephone.
· Visual ability to read materials in either a printed format or on a computer screen.
· Ability to hear well enough to carry on a normal conversation, both in person and over the telephone.
· Stamina to maintain attention to detail despite frequent interruptions.
· Willingness to help out with additional hours from time to time.
