Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto is a 339-bed acute care hospital located in Southaven, Mississippi. Their highly skilled and experienced doctors, nurses and staff provide a wide range of health care services, including ancillary, cancer, emergency and surgical, heart, neurology, women’s and children’s services, and more. Case Assignments include Cardiovascular (CV), Neurology, Orthopedics, Obstetrics, General, and Well Peds. Shifts are 8s, 10s, and 12s with call requirements. The anesthesia team provides a collaborative work environment where CRNAs, MDs, and the surgical team share strong, respectful relationships—led by inspiring and supportive leadership. Responsibilities include pre-anesthesia assessment, obtaining and/or verifying patient consent, discussing anesthetic options and risks with the patient, induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, monitoring of the patient's physiological condition, and performance of clinical intervention as needed. Requirements include current license as a registered professional nurse, graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education, and certification or recertification by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
