**Position Description:** **Stat RN**

+ Responding to emergency codes hospital wide.
+ Acting as a professional role model for other members of the nursing team.
+ Professional accountability and development.
+ Performing the role of preceptor.

**Qualifications:**
**Certifications and Licensures:**
+ BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required
+ RN (Registered Nurse) license is required
+ ACLS Certification if required by department
+ RN Professional Nurse Specialty Certification within 7 months of hire/promotion in lieu of education. Certification must be RN Professional, nationally recognized and applicable to the current primary area of practice on the approved Clinical Registered Nurse Certifications Grid.
+ Nurse Specialty certification is preferred
**Education:**
+ Bachelors degree in Nursing, BS in a healthcare related field, or RN Professional Nurse Specialty Certification is required within 7 months of hire/promotion
**Experience:**
· 2 years of RN experience in acute care is required
· 3 years of RN experience in ICU or ER is preferred

+ Interpersonal skills
+ Critical thinking skills
