Field Service Technician – Maintenance Equipment

Location: Greater Kansas City Area (Home-Based)

Travel: ~50% overnight travel across CO, KS, OK, AR, MO, IL & IN, with occasional nationwide travel.

About the Role:

We're adding a new Field Service Technician to the LubeCon team! In this full-time, home-based position, you’ll install and maintain conveyor chain lubrication equipment at customer manufacturing sites. You’ll be part of a close-knit, high-performance team that supports our customers across the region for service calls and installations.

Who You Are

You’re hands-on, mechanically inclined, and comfortable on the road. You know your way around manufacturing environments and enjoy solving mechanical and electrical challenges. You take pride in delivering reliable, professional service and being the go-to expert that customers trust.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and maintain LubeCon equipment at customer sites
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
  • Train customer teams on equipment use and maintenance
  • Support account managers with installation and services
  • Collaborate with trade unions and contractors on equipment installs
  • Work occasional nights/weekends (comp time allotted)
  • Build strong relationships with plant personnel
  • Submit service reports and log visits in CRM system
  • Exhibit safety leadership and compliance

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of mechanical or technical service experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Basic understanding of electrical components
  • B2B or manufacturing industry experience preferred
  • Physically able to climb ladders, lift 50 lbs, kneel, and walk long distances
  • Organized and efficient with your time
  • Good communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Proficient with mobile apps, Microsoft Office, and basic CRM tools

Other:

  • Salary: $60,000 – $80,000, depending on experience
