Painter

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Painter at NRG Park in Houston, Texas. NRG Park is a premier facility with four major venues within one giant park including NRG Center, NRG Stadium, NRG Astrodome, and NRG Arena. The Painter will join the Maintenance team and perform work painting, finishing, and maintaining a wide variety of interior and exterior surfaces and structures. Duties include skilled and semi-skilled tasks often requiring heavy lifting and physical exertion. The Painter acts as liaison between the facility and clients, ensuring client requirements are met and facility rules, regulations, and policies are adhered to. Responsibilities include painting various surfaces, preparing surfaces for painting, operating and maintaining painting equipment, safely storing materials, interpreting building codes, following preventive maintenance programs, recording work performed, promoting a safe working environment, working at heights, and submitting repair lists. The role requires knowledge of painting, carpentry, building hardware maintenance, shop math, operational procedures, and ability to interpret drawings and work orders. The Painter must follow all safety and facility policies, maintain effective working relationships, perform manual labor under various conditions, and be flexible with work hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Education required is a High School diploma or GED with three years related experience or equivalent. Skills include ability to tape and float sheetrock, use paint sprayers, work reliably under pressure, communicate effectively, and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for 8-10 hours, climbing ladders, and working inside or outside as needed. A valid US motor vehicle license is required.
