Medical Assistant Job Description

1. Provide care for adult patients
2. Take vitals and document them in EMR
3. Complete tasks/procedures when asked
4. Administer the following tests, EKG, injection, finger stick, vaccination, finger stick for glucose monitoring and A1C
5. Swab for COVID testing, flu, strep
6. Urine dip stick
7. Vision testing (eye chart)
8. Hearing test
9. Prepare and label specimen for shipping to labs
10. Retrieve voicemails messages/document/respond in a timely manner
11. Contact messages as needed, test results
12. Clean and stock exam rooms, procedure rooms etc.
13. Scrub used instruments/run through autoclave sterilize as needed
14. Complete work inventory/supplies

STATUS
Full time

SALARY
$18/hour, can be negotiated according to experience

REQUIREMENTS
Graduated from accredited Medical Assistant Program, High School Diploma, Certified Medical Assistant Certification
BLS certification preferred

HOURS OF WORK
Average 40 hours/week Monday - Friday excluding lunch
