Position Overview

Providers will join a large anesthesia care team practicing under 4:1 supervision with exposure to a full range of cases — including OB, thoracic, vascular, ortho, GI, ENT, and healthy peds. CRNAs perform spinals and epidurals independently and participate in an 8-week rotating schedule that includes optional night or weekend call.

(Top 10% nationally), this assignment offers one of the most competitive CRNA compensation structures in the Mid-Atlantic region (based solely on 2025 provider pay data).


Assignment Highlights
  • Schedule: Full-time | 40–60 hrs/week guaranteed

  • Shift Types: 8s, 10s, and 12s (primarily days; occasional nights)

  • On-Call: 1 shift per 8-week schedule (night or weekend)

  • Weekend Requirement: 1 weekend per month (as needed)

  • Holiday: One required holiday per year | Paid 1.5x hourly

  • Floating: As required

  • Team Model: 4:1 supervision with anesthesiologists

  • Travel: Billable; flights prepaid for full-time clinicians (one round trip per assignment)

  • Orientation: 8 hours (billable at standard rate)

  • Credentialing Timeline: 90–120 days


Skills & Experience
  • Required Certifications: NBCRNA, BLS (AHA)

  • Licensure: Active Virginia CRNA license required (or in process at time of submission)

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years; must have Level II trauma experience

  • Required: OB and Thoracic

  • Preferred: Pediatrics

  • Must be proficient in spinal and epidural anesthesia

  • No nerve blocks required


Job Responsibilities
  • Provide anesthesia services for all cases except transplants

  • Manage OB, thoracic, and vascular cases independently

  • Perform and manage epidurals and spinals

  • Participate in scheduled call and weekend rotations

  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and nursing teams

  • Maintain compliance with departmental policies and documentation standards
