WCS Healthcare is seeking an experienced Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) Registered Nurse for a contract assignment at a leading hospital in New York City. This role is ideal for a highly skilled critical‑care RN who excels in fast‑paced, high‑acuity surgical environments.

Job Function:

\n

• Night Shift.
\n
• 3x12: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM.
\n
• Deliver intensive care to critically ill patients from General Surgery, Orthopedics, Vascular Surgery, Gynecology‑Obstetrics, Transplant (liver, pancreas, bowel, kidney), and Urology services.
\n
• Evaluate and continuously monitor patient progress, documenting assessments and interventions.
\n
• Identify sudden or subtle changes in patient condition and intervene promptly.
\n
• Communicate regular updates to physicians, patients, and family members.
\n
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
\n
• Initiate treatments and monitor medication dosing in accordance with clinical guidelines.

Job Requirements:

• Active NYS RN License

\n

• AHA BLS

  \n
\n

• Minimum 2 years RN experience

  \n
\n

• Minimum 2 years Post‑Open‑Heart and Cardiac Care Unit experience

  \n
\n

• 1 year travel experience (required for travel roles; not required for per diem)

  \n
\n

• EPIC experience highly preferred

  \n
\n

• Excellent organizational skills required

  \n
\n

• BSN preferred

  \n
\n

• ASN accepted with relevant experience or active BSN enrollment

\n
