WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse for a contract assignment at a highly respected hospital in Roslyn, NY. This role is ideal for an OR nurse who thrives in a fast‑paced surgical environment and is committed to delivering safe, high‑quality perioperative care.


Job Function:

  • Day Shift.
    • \n
  • 3x12: 7am-7:30pm.
    • \n
  • Document all patient care accurately, completely, and promptly in the facility EMR
    • \n
  • Prepare the operating room for procedures and assist with room turnover
    • \n
  • Assist with patient positioning and ensure comfort and safety throughout the procedure
    • \n
  • Handle and label specimens according to policy
    • \n
  • Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and infection‑control standards
    • \n
  • Identify and initiate corrective actions when necessary
    • \n
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and OR staff to ensure efficient workflow
    • \n

Job Requirements:

  • 2+ years RN experience

    \n
    • \n

  • Minimum 1 year CVOR experience (required)

    \n
    • \n

  • Travel experience required

    \n
    • \n

  • Active NY RN License (must be in hand at submission)

    \n
    • \n

  • BLS – AHA

    \n
    • \n

  • ACLS preferred

    \n
    • \n

  • NIHSS preferred

    \n
    • \n
