A well-established and highly regarded property management company is seeking a Property Manager to oversee a new affordable housing community in the Madison area. Position Overview

The Property Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of an affordable housing community, including leasing, compliance, resident relations, and financial performance. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the property runs efficiently, remains compliant, and continues to grow and succeed.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all daily property operations including leasing, maintenance coordination, and resident relations
  • Ensure compliance with LIHTC and Section 42 affordable housing regulations
  • Manage rent collection, budgeting, and financial reporting
  • Maintain accurate tenant files, certifications, and recertifications
  • Respond to resident concerns and foster a positive community environment
  • Supervise and collaborate with on-site staff and vendors
  • Drive occupancy goals and support leasing efforts as needed


Qualifications

  • Previous property management experience preferred
  • Experience with affordable housing, LIHTC, or Section 42 strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of compliance, leasing, and resident relations
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • Proficiency with property management software is a plus
