Overview:
As a Labor and Delivered Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality healthcare to patients in various locations. Your flexibility, adaptability, and expertise will be essential in addressing the healthcare needs of diverse populations and settings.
Shift: 12 hours, 7pm - 7am
To ensure the best quality care, candidates must have experience in a pediatric setting, preferably with medically complex patients. Specific skills required include:
- Tube feeding
- Tracheostomy care
- Wound care
- Neurological disorders management (including seizure care)
- Oxygen therapy
- IV therapy
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing and monitoring patient conditions
- Administering medications and treatments
- Collaborating with healthcare teams
- Supporting patient and family education
- Adhering to healthcare regulations and standards
- Providing quality patient care in various clinical settings
- Managing and prioritizing patient care
- Participating in emergency response efforts
- Ensuring accurate patient documentation
- Facilitating patient discharge planning
- Delivering culturally competent care
- Using critical thinking in complex healthcare situations
- Adapting to different healthcare environments
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives
- Advocating for patient needs
Required Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Bachelor's or Associate degree in Nursing
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Ability to adapt to diverse healthcare settings and populations
- Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure and emergency situations
- Cultural sensitivity and competence in cross-cultural care
- Ability to travel and work flexible schedules
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Strong advocacy for patient rights and safety
