Summary: Architecture & Facilities Engineering (A&FE) is looking for an Electrical Designer/Draftsperson to support the development and sustainment of the electrical distribution systems throughout the client’s resort campus. The team supports the facility, attractions, entertainment, foods, and merchandise maintenance teams. You will support maintenance teams, minor system modifications and immediate response efforts. The objective of this position is to update facility drawings through drawing research and field verification.
Perform site visits for the retrieval of field data and the verification of existing drawings including details, measurements, existing conditions, product data.
Coordinate and execute the update and correction of electrical one-line drawings, equipment layout and elevation drawings, motor control drawings, system control drawings and other electrical drawings as needed.
Perform work that maintains design standards.
Help coordinate photo documentation required to record existing conditions, prototypes, and completed projects.
Assist engineers and designers as needed to resolve design compliance issues relating to electrical system’s requirements.
Research availability of As-Built Drawings in the client’s Electronic Data Management System.
Basic Qualifications
Familiar with California Electrical code and California Energy Code (i.e., Title 24).
Ability to develop concepts into drawings ready for construction.
Minimum of five years of work experience in related engineering discipline with related field experience.
Minimum of five years of AutoCAD and Revit experience with electrical drawing creation and modification.
Preferred Qualifications
BS Engineering from an ABET or ACCSC accredited university.
Familiar with IEEE 3000 Standards for Industrial and Commercial Power Systems.
Required Education
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.
The client operates a large, complex resort campus that includes a wide range of facilities, attractions, entertainment venues, and guest-facing environments. The Architecture & Facilities Engineering team is responsible for supporting the safe, reliable, and continuous operation of electrical distribution systems across this highly integrated setting, partnering closely with maintenance and operations teams to support day-to-day facility needs, immediate response efforts, and minor system modifications.
This role supports the development, verification, and sustainment of facility electrical documentation, ensuring drawings accurately reflect existing conditions and comply with applicable codes and design standards. Work is performed in an active, high-visibility environment and requires close collaboration with multiple engineering disciplines and project teams to maintain consistency, quality, and long-term reliability across the campus.
