MUST HAVE WORKDAY EXPERIENCE!
Pay: $35 - 45hr
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8AM – 5PM
Location: Commerce, CA (onsite)
Summary:
The Workday Payroll Analyst position is responsible for handling high-volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc. You will have a strong knowledge of California labor and wage laws, federal and state payroll regulations and requirements. You will have an understanding of basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen. You must have a strong ability to maintain accurate data entry.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business Management, Business Administration, or another related field highly preferred
- High School Dipoloma Required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with payroll required
- Previous experience with Workday required
- Previous experience working with CA labor and wage laws
- Prior experience using accounting software
- Ability with handling high-volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc.
- Strong knowledge of California labor and wage laws
- Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations and requirements
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen
- Accurate, swift, data entry abilities
- Strong working knowledge with Advanced Excel Skills, and high level of proficiency with Microsoft Suite (i.e., Word, Power Point, Outlook), and Database Management.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the performance of payroll staff processing payroll
- Maintaining employee confidence and protecting payroll operations by keeping information confidential
- Preparing reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages
- Determining payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payments
- Understand and report necessary changes to payroll operations by maintaining established policies and procedures
- Track payroll record changes by entering updates in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers
