Job Title: Blaster - 1st Shift
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Blaster to join our team on the 1st shift. This role involves powder coating, material handling with a forklift, and ensuring quality checks are performed. You will be responsible for hanging and taking down parts from the conveyor line, some of which can be quite heavy. You will also ensure that all supplies are ready and organized throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Perform powder coating tasks with precision and attention to detail.
• Handle materials using a forklift efficiently and safely.
• Hang and remove parts from the conveyor line, managing heavy items as needed.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure standards are met.
• Organize and prepare supplies for daily operations.

Essential Skills

• Experience in material handling and paint preparation.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting, with the capacity to lift parts up to 40 lbs.
• Proficiency in industrial painting and blasting techniques.
• Skilled in using a spray gun for coating applications.
• Strong attention to detail and quality assurance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in a similar environment is preferred.
• Capability to bend and stand for long periods during shifts.
• No direct blasting experience required, but preferred.

Work Environment

Our facility operates Monday to Thursday from 6am to 4pm, offering a work schedule of four 10-hour shifts. We are a small shop with approximately 12 employees, providing a close-knit and collaborative work environment. The workflow can vary, but we are committed to maintaining steady operations.

This is a Contract position based out of Manitowoc, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
