JOB SUMMARY: This Entry level, part-time position is responsible for ensuring employee timecards are entered, reviewed, and approved with accuracy and on time; ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements. The Timekeeper Specialist will also address employee inquiries regarding payroll, resolve discrepancies, and contribute to payroll reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Execute end-to-end timecard and ticket process on a regular schedule, ensuring accuracy and timely payment of salaries, wages, and adjustments.
• Manage records, including employee hours, departments, and jobsite locations.
• Address discrepancies and resolve employee payroll inquiries.
• Review and verify time records for accuracy, and ensure proper payment based on hours worked, overtime and paid time off.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll issues to respond and resolve employee inquiries related to payroll, deductions, timekeeping issues, and other payroll-related matters.
• Ensure all timecard processes comply with federal, state, local, and union regulations. Keep up to date with company policies.
• Prepare reports to management and other departments as needed, including payroll summaries and union reporting.
• Maintain organized records, ensuring data confidentiality and compliance with record retention requirements.
• Occasionally assist in securing oversized-overweight permits in advance of job start dates.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Currently enrolled in a college/university program relevant to Construction and/or Equipment, Trucking leasing/rental field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in a diverse work environment; ability to connect with key decision makers as well as field operation contacts.
• Proficient in using MS Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Previous experience with FCC/NexGen software, and Union experience is a plus.
