Belle City Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced and collaborative Medical Director Veterinarian to lead our AAHA-accredited small animal practice in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin. This is an outstanding opportunity for a veterinarian who is passionate about high-quality medicine, surgery, mentorship, and practice growth while continuing to maintain an active clinical caseload.

Belle City Veterinary Hospital is a full-service, AAHA-accredited companion animal hospital committed to delivering exceptional medical, surgical, and dental care. Our experienced and supportive team values collaboration, client education, and continuous professional development while utilizing modern technology to provide the highest standard of care.

What You'll Do

• Lead and mentor a team of veterinarians and support staff
• Practice high-quality small animal medicine and surgery
• Promote medical excellence and maintain AAHA standards of care
• Partner with hospital leadership to support hospital growth and strategic initiatives
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing culture
• Support the professional development of associate veterinarians
• Build lasting relationships with clients through exceptional communication and patient care

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) from an accredited veterinary school
• Active (or eligible) Wisconsin veterinary license
• Previous leadership or mentorship experience preferred
• Strong surgical and medical skills with an interest in continuing to grow surgical services
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
• Collaborative leadership style with a growth mindset
• Passion for progressive, evidence-based medicine and team development

Our salary ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The Company offers competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision benefits, vacation, sick leave, 401(k), and more depending on location. You will be provided more detailed information about compensation and benefits for your specific location.
