Position: Part-Time Dietitian

Job Summary:

We are seeking an exceptional Registered Dietitian. This is a great opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our residents! Please note that this would be a part-time job working around 12-16 hours a week. You'll need to come onsite once a week.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine visits to assigned facilities, adjusting the frequency based on the complexity of nutritional programs and facility size.
• Assess the nutritional status of residents, including:
• Evaluating lab values, dietary intake patterns, weight trends, and food/drug interactions.
• Assessing dietary compliance, resident independence, and overall well-being.
• Perform initial and ongoing assessments for new admissions and residents at nutritional risk.
• Document nutritional assessments and interventions in resident charts and care plans.
• Review and confirm diet orders, ensuring changes are properly justified and documented.
• Collaborate closely with facility teams, including Administrators, Food Service Directors, and Nursing Services, to address nutritional concerns.
• Work alongside interdisciplinary teams (e.g., Speech and Occupational Therapists) to support resident nutrition goals.
• Provide individualized diet instructions and education to residents, tailoring recommendations to their specific needs.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations for long-term care facilities and food service programs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field preferred.
• Registered Dietitian and hold Licensure in the state of WI is required
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations for long-term care facilities and the food service industry.
• Proven experience in long-term care (preferred).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
