Construction Superintendent/Project Manager
We are seeking a highly experienced, detail-oriented Residential Construction Superintendent / Project Manager to oversee all phases of residential remodeling and new construction projects from start to finish. This role requires strong leadership, a proactive mindset, and the ability to manage daily field operations while coordinating closely with the project coordinator, general manager, project manager, and design team.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Residential Construction and Remodeling, be confident in field supervision, and be comfortable using modern technology and cloud-based project management platforms such as Buildertrend, Google Drive, and Dropbox.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of full-time experience managing Residential Remodeling Projects.
In-depth knowledge of Residential Construction methods, systems, techniques, and building codes.
Highly detail-oriented and organized.
Capable of assessing job site conditions to ensure work is square, plumb, and level.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software (Buildertrend preferred).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Primary Responsibilities: Project Oversight & Coordination
Supervise and manage all on-site construction activities across multiple trades.
Coordinate closely with the General Manager/Owner, Project Manager, and Designer
Conduct daily assessments of job site progress, relay updates to the office, and address any field-related issues.
Ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards on-site.
Project Planning & Execution
Plan and maintain production schedules using Buildertrend or similar project management tools.
Build and manage detailed job folders, including all relevant documentation and correspondence.
Review project proposals and contracts for feasibility, cost, and schedule accuracy.
Schedule and coordinate city inspections.
Subcontractor & Material Coordination
Create and manage subcontractor bids, contracts, and approvals.
Coordinate material orders, pickups, deliveries, and logistics.
Conduct ongoing evaluations of subcontractor performance and reliability.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain thorough daily logs, progress reports, and documentation in Buildertrend.
Generate and manage change orders, including scope, cost, documentation, and customer approval.
Ensure job sites are properly documented through photos, updates, and milestone tracking.
Communication & Collaboration
Act as a bridge between the field and internal teams: architects, engineers, designers, and contractors.
Participate in regular meetings with the Project Manager and General Manager/Owner to discuss project progress and resolve issues.
