Our West Allis satellite location is seeking a Field Supervisor who thrives on working with their teams in the field. As a Field Supervisor, you'll play a critical role in developing your team and shaping the success of our landscape maintenance operation. You’ll oversee up to 30 dedicated crew members and be the vital link in the field between our team, our clients, and our client service representatives (CSRs). This is a boots-on-the-ground leadership position where you’ll spend 70% of your time at job sites—guiding, coaching, problem-solving, and ensuring that every property reflects Villani Landshapers passion for detail.
Requirements:
Responsibilities:
- Be present and visible at multiple client properties daily.
- Lead, coach, and train landscape maintenance crews (mowing, edging, weeding, trimming, etc.).
- Be a mentor for your foremen to develop them into people who can effectively train, manage, and control their crews.
- Partner with CSRs and clients to identify and resolve production, quality or service issues on the spot.
- Monitor and manage crew performance, safety, equipment use, and uniform compliance.
- Foster a culture of accountability, pride, and teamwork.
- Serve as the go-to authority for troubleshooting site challenges and elevating crew performance.
- Manage workloads, scheduling needs and daily paperwork.
- Monitor the teams’ equipment, route books, daily time entry, cleanliness of trucks, trailers, and uniforms to ensure that everything is presented to company standards.
- Required to be in the yard daily before dispatch to check trucks and trailers for damage and cleanliness, ensure the right equipment is loaded for the day and properly secured.
- Has authority in evaluating and disciplining field personnel (up to recommendation of termination) with Operations Manager approval.
- Has authority to enforce the company safety program.
- Sets the example in adhering to company policies, procedures, core values and standards
Qualifications & Key Competencies:
- Bi-lingual (Spanish/English)
- Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to motivate and develop diverse team members with a hands-on coaching style.
- A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail and quality
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record required.
- Passion for teaching and training
- Wisconsin pesticide application license preferred but not required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and follow-through abilities
- Knowledge of computers and Microsoft programs
