We are a new firm, very innovative in nature and support over 500 clients in tax preparation and small business accounting. We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated Outsourced Accounting and Tax Manager to join our team. This is a remote position (ideally located in (or around) Pennsylvania) that offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, challenging, and stimulating environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public accounting and will be responsible for preparing individual and business tax returns, managing financial records, and providing financial advice to our clients. This role reports directly to the Owner and will have significant interaction with clients, making excellent communication skills a must.

The ideal candidate will be someone with internship experience and/or an accounting degree. Again, ideal location is in/around the Philadelphia suburbs for occasional in office meetings or client meetings (very rare).

Job Details

Responsibilities:
As a Outsourced Accounting and Tax Manager, you will:
1. Oversee and manage the preparation and review of federal and state income tax returns for individuals, corporations, and S corporations.
2. Lead the tax planning process and strategy development to optimize tax obligations and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
3. Conduct complex tax research and analysis, and provide tax planning advice to high net worth individuals and corporations.
4. Assist in the management and maintenance of the company's tax structure.
5. Prepare and review 1120S tax returns and provide guidance on tax implications and strategies.
6. Collaborate with other departments to provide tax accounting support and expertise.
7. Stay updated with the latest tax laws and regulations and ensure that the company's tax policies and procedures are in compliance.
8. Manage tax audits and inquiries by governmental jurisdictions, and provide support during litigation involving tax issues.
9. Develop and implement tax-saving strategies for the company and clients.
10. Provide leadership, training, and supervision to junior tax staff.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree in Taxation or CPA certification is a plus.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in tax preparation and planning, with a focus on 1120S, S Corp, and high net worth individuals.
3. Extensive knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations, and experience in income tax return preparation.
4. Proven experience in tax planning and strategy development for corporations and individuals.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret tax laws and regulations.
6. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner.
8. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
9. Ability to work independently in a remote setting, with a high degree of self-motivation and discipline.
10. High attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to providing high-quality work.
