Job Title: Assembly Operator
Pay Rate: $20/hr total (base pay plus shift differential)
Location: Taunton, MA
Duration: Temp-to-Hire
Shift: All shifts 30-minute lunch | 1st Shift, M-F 7am- 3:30pm | 2nd Shift, M-F 3pm-11:30pm | 3rd Shift, Sun PM - Fri AM 11pm-7:30am
Position Overview:
This role is responsible for assembling and packaging products in a light manufacturing environment while following work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to perform repetitive tasks, and comfortable working in a regulated production setting.
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred, not required)
- Basic math and measuring skills
- Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions in English
- Ability to interpret work orders and product specifications
- Physical coordination with the ability to lift up to 35 lbs
- Comfortable working with common cleaning solutions
- Ability to work respectfully and collaboratively within a team environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble products according to work orders, specifications, and quality guidelines
- Follow defined procedures to produce acceptable products while minimizing scrap
- Maintain accurate production and quality documentation as directed
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and standard operating procedures
- Utilize job documentation, drawings, and basic measuring tools to meet specifications
- Set up and operate production and branding equipment per instructions
- Load, unload, and operate curing or processing equipment according to defined cycles
- Operate spooling, rinsing, and packaging equipment as required
- Perform cleaning and packaging of finished products
- Assemble sub-components and product sets per specifications
- Meet production quantity and quality requirements
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all workplace safety guidelines and use required personal protective equipment
Physical & Environmental Requirements:
- Ability to perform detailed visual inspections and precision assembly
- Frequent standing, sitting, and repetitive hand movements
- Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, or reaching
- Regular use of hands and fingers for fine motor tasks
- Ability to communicate effectively in a production environment
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
- Work environment may occasionally involve noise, moving equipment, or exposure to manufacturing conditions
- Safety equipment and protective clothing required
