The Medical Assistant is the first contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative responsibilities in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant performs advanced administrative, operational, customer support responsibilities that require independent initiative and judgment.
The Medical Assistant performs clinical responsibilities. These responsibilities include discussing symptoms, obtaining vital signs, and medication/vaccine administration. They also perform phlebotomy, collect specimens, and perform diagnostic screening tests. Additionally, they sterilize and clean equipment, maintain examination rooms, and document information into the electronic medical records system. Collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers. Deliver direct patient care dependent on what active certification allows. Decisions typically focus on methods and tactics for completing administrative tasks/projects. Prioritizing requests and interpreting procedures, processes, and techniques. Works under limited guidance due to previous experience, breadth, and depth of knowledge of administrative processes and organizational knowledge. The Medical Assistant has advanced skills, contributes to process improvement, delivers in-depth training, and provides advanced guidance/mentoring to other Medical Assistants.

+ Certified or Registered
+ Phlebotomy experience
+ Medication/vaccine administration experience
+ 1+ years MA experience
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ CPR Certified
+ This role is considered patient facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB
**Preferred**
+ 1+ years MA experience in PCO center
+ Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience
+ Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish - must pass proficiency exam prior to foreign language communication
**Additional Information:** This role is considered patient-facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
