Job Description

Insight Global Health is hiring a remote Certified Medical Assistant as a Health Coach for patients with Chronic Illnesses.

Schedule: Full time Mon-Fri

8-5 to work EST or PST hours.

Company overview:

This telehealth organization specializes in health technology and provides remote patient monitoring to Medicare populations - specifically those with chronic illnesses (ex. Type2 diabetes, hypertension etc.). Patients use vital trackers for at home use and relay information via phone to the remote MA. This role acts as a health coach for chronic care management under the discretion of an MD.

Responsibilities:

This is a high call volume position. The MA will be responsible for calling a list of patients per day, with each call lasting around 20 minutes. Must be comfortable conversing with patients over the phone to gather key information (such as how is your breathing today) and documenting detailed charting.

Skills and Requirements

Active Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited association. (AAMA, NCMA, NHA, NCCT, AMT, NCCA)

5+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant.

1+ year working remotely discussing patient health records and vitals

High Call Volume Experience with patients for phone triage (collecting vitals over the phone)

Working with patients that have chronic illnesses (diabetes, hypertension etc.) Longevity in previous positions null
