Requirements:

Responsibilities:

• Perform compound and Retail prescription data entry tasks and related activities to support the medication dispensing process.
• Enter new and refill orders accurately and promptly, based on assigned priorities.
• Complete all data fields according to pharmacy procedures, including the use of approved abbreviations, dosage, and day supply calculations.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal guidelines regarding medication labeling.
• Assist customers and patients in a courteous and professional manner.
• Crosstrain in all areas of the Pharmacy department.
• Consult with dispensing pharmacists regarding prescription order clarification, entry problems, or concerns.
• Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA.
• Perform other duties as assigned; job duties may vary depending on business needs.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Licensed/Registered pharmacy technician as required by Maryland state law.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous pharmacy experience is required (minimum one year recently in a compound pharmacy).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and be flexible.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of compounded medications, medical terminology (including sig codes and Roman numerals), brand and generic names of medications, and general pharmacy terminology.
• Ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently when inputting information.
• Ability to maintain composure on the phone when handling customer and referral source calls.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service.
• Basic math and analytical skills.
• Intermediate typing/keyboarding skills.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must be able to work various nights and weekends as required.

You must be fully vaccinated and provide proof of vaccination at the time of the interview.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using PioneerRX.
• Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Must be able to sit and/or stand for 7-10 hours a day and lift up to 45 lbs.
• Must have excellent customer service skills and enjoy working with the public.
