• Clinical Duties:

  • Sterilizing instruments and equipment
  • Maintaining infection control protocols
  • Educating patients on oral hygiene practices
  • Assisting with dental procedures, such as fillings, extractions, and cleanings
  • Preparing patients for treatment
  • Taking and developing dental X-rays

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Completion of a dental assisting program or on-the-job training

• Certification or registration, depending on state requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Physical stamina - ability to stand for long periods of time
