- Ensure a clean and organized patient care environment.
- Assistance to Healthcare Providers:
- Aid healthcare providers during examinations, procedures, and minor surgeries.
- Prepare and maintain medical supplies and equipment.
- Assist with wound care, suture removal, and other minor medical procedures.
- Patient Education:
- Provide clear and concise instructions to patients regarding prescribed medications, home care, and follow-up instructions.
- Educate patients on preventive care measures and lifestyle modifications.
- Administrative Duties:
- Schedule patient appointments and follow-up visits.
- Manage and update electronic medical records with accuracy and completeness.
- Handle phone inquiries, take messages, and relay information to healthcare providers.
- Infection Control and Safety:
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment.
- Follow safety guidelines and protocols for handling hazardous materials.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a medical assistant training program or equivalent education.
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Prior experience in urgent care, primary care, or a related healthcare setting is preferred.
- Proficient in medical terminology and documentation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and high-volume setting.
