**Overview**
**Job Title: Design Specialist**
**Job Location: Torrance, CA**
**Salary: $90,000-$110,000/yr DOE**
Stellant Systems currently has an opportunity for an onsite **Design Specialist** at our Torrance, California site.
**Responsibilities**
+ Create CAD models and engineering drawings of products and tools with dimension schemes using GD&T.
+ Collaborate with engineering team to develop new products to design specifications, industry and military standards, design for manufacturing concepts, and continuous improvement objectives.
+ Independently design tooling solutions for the efficient manufacture of traveling wave tubes and electronics.
+ Lead assigned design projects by proactively collecting required information and using sound judgment to make decisions with minimal oversight.
+ Make drawing/model changes authorized by Engineering Change Notices.
**Qualifications**
+ Associate's degree and a minimum of 6 years relevant experience, OR bachelor's degree and minimum 4 years relevant experience, OR graduate degree and a minimum of 2 years relevant experience. Additional years of relevant experience may be used in lieu of education.
+ Advanced experience with enterprise level CAD software (e.g., Creo, Siemens NX, CATIA) a must
+ Proficient in the use of GD&T to layout dimension schemes, including but not limited to thoughtful datum feature application, hole pattern true positions with modifiers, MMB, runout, flatness, profile and parallelism applications, among others required
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills required
+ Creo and Windchill experience preferred.
+ Familiarity with traveling wave tubes or vacuum tube technology a plus.
+ Familiarity with space design standards and design for manufacturing preferred.
+ RF experience a plus.
+ Checker experience a plus.
