Job Summary
Burkhart Plumbing is seeking experienced Journeyman Plumbers to join our full-service team in North Idaho. You’ll work on residential and commercial projects—handling repairs, remodels, preventative maintenance, new construction, radiant heating, and snow-melt systems across Kootenai and Bonner counties. Responsibilities and Duties
- Install and repair plumbing systems, including pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures, water heaters, gas lines, and hydronic heating systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues using industry-standard methods and tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and local building codes.
- Perform preventative maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure long-term reliability.
- Maintain accurate work records—time, materials used, and job notes—as per company standards.
Qualifications and Skills
- Valid Journeyman Plumber license (Idaho or Washington)
- 2+ years of plumbing experience in residential, commercial, and service.
- Proficient in working with various materials (PVC, PEX, copper, cast iron, etc.) and systems.
- Solid mathematical and problem-solving skills; ability to accurately measure, calculate, and plan.
- Ability to read blueprints, interpret technical drawings, and adhere to local codes.
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Physically capable of lifting up to 100 lbs, working in confined spaces, on ladders.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
