**Job Title: Machinist**
**Job Description**
NOW HIRING - CNC Machinists. We specialize in milling, turning, grinding, and more, working with materials such as Aluminum, Titanium, and Inconel. Our facility features over 100 CNC machines, including Okuma, DMG, OKK, and Toshiba.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate CNC production equipment to produce quality parts
+ Complete all departmental paperwork in detail
+ Perform part setup, run cycles, and inspect parts
+ Interpret drawings, specifications, and inspection requirements (GD&T)
+ Analyze numerical control programs and perform minimal changes
+ Select proper work holdings and tooling based on documents
+ Perform routine inspection on in-process parts using inspection equipment
+ Use calipers, dial bore gages, indicators, micrometers, height and radius gages, go/no-go gages, refractometer, and comparator as required
+ Apply basic math skills
+ Run multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously
+ Meet production and quality standards with zero tolerance for scrap and rework
+ Perform preventative and regular maintenance on machines, equipment, and tools
+ Troubleshoot machine problems during processes
+ Understand machining speeds and feeds
+ Work with lathes, mills, and grinders
+ Work under minimal supervision
**Essential Skills**
+ CNC mill/lathe experience (3+ years ideally)
+ Blueprint reading
+ Basic inspection experience
+ Shop math skills
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with Fanuc control
+ Ability to read G&M codes
+ Experience with Siemens control
+ Ability to set up machines
+ Troubleshooting skills
+ Knowledge of tolerances

**Work Environment**
Our facility operates on two shifts: 1st Shift (Monday - Friday, 7:00AM - 3:30PM) and 2nd Shift (Monday - Friday, 3:30PM - 12:00AM). Flexible hours are available, but mandatory overtime on Saturdays is required. The environment is a traditional machine shop and assembly operation with over 100 CNC machines. It is climate-controlled, bright, and moderately organized.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, Indiana.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
