Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Manual Machinists for projects located in and around the Portland, OR area. This is a full time opportunity with a pay rate of $35-44/hour based on experience & skill level. Job Scope:

• Operate large manual machine tools including lathes (36" to 48" swing), mills, & drill presses
• Perform precision machining on materials such as mild steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, cast iron, & bronze
• Maintain tolerances of .001 or less to ensure high-quality machining
• Set up machines, select tools, & determine cutting speeds or feeds
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications using precision measuring tools
• Perform routine maintenance & cleaning of machine tools
• Other tasks as assigned

Responsibilities

• 5+ Years of Experience Operating Large Manual Machines
• Expertise in machining mild steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, cast iron, & bronze
• Proficiency in precision machining techniques
• Willingness to work a swing shift
• Ability to read blueprints
• Must standard personal machinist tools
