Manual Machinist Pay Rate and Hours:
- $29.00-$31.50/HR plus a $2.00/hr shift differential
- Monday through Friday, 2:00 pm-10:30 pm
Manual Machinist Job Description:
- Operate VTL's, Engine Lathes, Radial Drill/Mill(Bridgeport, Mecof), keyway, balance, TOS
- Plans how operations will be performed on the machine. This includes part holding and alignment and proper tooling.
- Read and followed complex blueprints and sketches, made machine and tooling adjustments for a wide range of parts, and operated both part and tool probing for accurate measurements, along with a variety of precision measuring instruments to verify exact tolerances and finishes.
- Perform required mathematical computations. Run through involved tooling and process
- Perform minor maintenance and servicing of machines, such as cleaning and oiling machines.
- Operate crane, forklift, and other power equipment.
- Set up and operated other assigned machine tools.
Manual Machinist Job Requirements:
- Completion of two to four years of Trade/Technical School, or equivalent, requiring the use of advanced shop mathematics, together with the use of complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables, handbook formulas, and a wide variety of precision measuring instruments.
- High School Diploma
- Must be able to read and write English
