Alpine Urgent Care is looking for a full time MA for back office Tuesday - Saturday
Alpine Urgent Care / Comprehensive Medicine is located in Alpine, CA, 30 minutes East of downtown SD, 10 minutes east of El Cajon. We are a small family operated business comprised of Alpine Urgent Care, California Mobile Physicians, and Primary Care.
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting physicians and other medical professionals by performing administrative and clinical tasks to ensure efficient patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Duties:
- Prepare patients for examinations, including taking vital signs and medical histories.
- Assist physicians during medical procedures.
- Administer medications and injections under the supervision of a healthcare provider.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing.
- Conduct EKGs, wound care, and other minor procedures.
- Educate patients on medications, treatments, and post-care instructions.
- Room patients, record vital signs, phlebotomy, medication injections, administration, processing lab specimens, POC lab testing, Patient call backs, some answering phones, some front office duties.
Administrative Duties:
- Schedule patient appointments and manage medical records.
- Verify patient information, insurance, and billing details.
- Answer phone calls and assist with patient inquiries.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
- Prefer medical assistant experience, but would consider new graduate.
- Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
