Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for rooming patients, taking vitals, handling check-ins and check-outs, interviewing patients to document their basic medical history, monitoring and communicating patient complaints or changes in condition, assisting with pharmacy refills, and patient callbacks.

Essential Skills
+ Medical assisting
+ Experience with EPIC
+ Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
+ Experience in nephrology
+ Experience with EMR
+ Patient care
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Previous experience in a nephrology clinic
+ Strong communication skills
+ Ability to work in a team environment
Work Environment
The position is onsite in Fort Wayne, working closely with nephrology providers. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM, with flexibility for those who prefer not to work 40 hours per week. The role involves both front office and back office duties, with patient appointments ranging from 15 to 30 per day. Future appointments may be reduced to 20-minute intervals. Candidates must be open to floating or covering in Marion, with mileage reimbursement and drive time compensation provided. The workplace is a team-oriented, close-knit environment with no holiday or weekend work. Employees enjoy a supportive
