Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and assisting with procedures.

• Administer injections, perform basic lab tests, and collect specimens for diagnostic testing as permitted by state regulations.

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and treatments.

• Update and maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and medical documentation.

• Schedule patient appointments, coordinate referrals, and manage follow-up care.

• Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, and general wellness.

• Ensure examination rooms are clean, stocked, and properly equipped.

• Handle administrative duties, including insurance verification, billing support, and medical supply management.

• Comply with all healthcare regulations, infection control protocols, and HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or certification in Medical Assisting preferred.

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.

• Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and basic healthcare practices.

• Proficiency in using EHR systems and medical office software.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a primary care, geriatric, or specialty clinic setting.

• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Work Environment:

• Clinical healthcare setting with direct patient interaction.

• May require standing for extended periods and lifting/moving patients or medical equipment.
