Job Title: Medical AssistantJob Description
The Medical Assistant performs clinical and administrative duties in an ambulatory care setting under the supervision of a physician/provider and/or a registered nurse. Duties may include measurement and documentation of vital signs, assisting providers with patient exams, and providing telephone and clerical support.
Responsibilities
+ Measure and document vital signs.
+ Assist providers with patient examinations.
+ Provide telephone and clerical support.
+ Perform clinical duties under the supervision of a physician/provider or registered nurse.
Essential Skills
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Proficiency in medical software and electronic health records (EHR).
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification.
+ 2+ years of experience in an ambulatory/outpatient care setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or GED.
+ Experience working in an ambulatory care medical office.
Work Environment
The position operates in an ambulatory care setting, with working hours from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. No weekend shifts are required. The work environment is fast-paced and offers opportunities for career growth, including promotions and further education.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.50/hr.
