Medical Scribe
We are seeking an experienced Medical Scribe to support physicians during patient encounters and accurately document clinical information. The Medical Scribe will transcribe physician-dictated histories, physical examination findings, procedures, laboratory and radiographic results, patient education, diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions, prescriptions, and pending orders.
Required:
- 6+ months of experience as a Medical Scribe
- Type 90+ WPM
- Computer proficiency and ability to learn new applications quickly
- Strong written communication, spelling, punctuation, and grammar
- Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessment
- Ability to accurately transcribe physician encounters
- Ability to prepare and edit scribed documents for physician review and signature
- High school diploma or GED required
- Flu shot
Preferred:
- College education in a related area of study
- Experience with CS-Link/EPIC
