The Advanced Clinical Associate (ACA)- Medical Scribe is responsible for capturing accurate and detailed documentation for medical visits and procedures as directed by providers. This role will also assist with clinical workflow and operations as needed. The ACA completes all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner while living our vision and mission. Essential functions include accompanying providers with patients and capturing accurate and detailed documentation for medical visits and procedures, transcribing history, physical exams and provider assessment of patients; listing all proper diagnoses and symptoms as well as follow-up instructions and prescriptions as directed by the provider, transcribing patient orders including laboratory tests, radiology tests, medications, updating medical records to include patient examination, treatment information plans, and test results, initiating referral process with patients and specialists as instructed by providers, and performing other clinical tasks as directed under the providers discretion and as allowed by state regulation. Additional knowledge, skills and abilities required include keyboard proficiency, experience using Electronic Health Records, knowledge of medical terminology, excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work, social perceptiveness and service-oriented attitude, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Job requirements include a High School Diploma, preferred experience as a Medical Scribe, Medical Assistant, or in an Urgent Care environment, and required certifications or licensure to meet Order Entry requirements such as Medical Assistant certification, CPOE Certification, Certified Medical Scribe Specialist certification, or Healthcare Professional Licensure. WA State - MA State Registered within 60 days of hire is required to perform limited scope of MA duties.
