Paramedic – Night Shift (12 Hours)

Location: Lynchburg, VA 24501

Shift: 12H Nights | 18:45–07:15

Contract Length: 13 Weeks with possible extension

Paramedics are needed for a non-driving, night-shift role providing advanced emergency medical care in a clinical setting. This position requires experienced paramedics who can work independently, follow established protocols, and respond effectively in high-acuity situations. The role includes participation in scheduled orientation sessions, adherence to certification and compliance requirements, and flexibility within a rolling 6-week schedule. Prior travel experience is required, and the client may cancel shifts up to 36 hours in advance due to census.

Key Requirements (Summary):

• Minimum 1 year of recent paramedic experience (within last 2 years)
• Prior travel experience required (locals accepted)
• Current VA Paramedic certification or approved VA EMT reciprocity with FBI fingerprint check
• National certification required for out-of-state applicants
• Active BLS, ACLS, PALS
• FEMA ICS 100, 200, and 700 (required)
• Hazmat Awareness preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts on a rolling 6-week schedule
