Our clinic has need for an experienced phlebotomist on a part-time basis, 3 days per week. The phlebotomist will draw blood, spin samples and fill out charts. Schedule will be 3 days per week, our clinic is closed nights, weekends, and major holidays.
Responsibilities:
Phlebotomy
- Highly skilled in phlebotomy with straight or butterfly needles, even for difficult blood draws
- Collect and store blood samples from patients
- Maintain clean and healthy work environment
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures
- Assist in the recovery of patients with adverse reactions
- Maintain supply and coordinate with 3rd Party Lab if additional supplies are needed
- Ensure lab is properly cleaned after each blood draw
- Dispose of all hazardous supplies and coordinate sharps container pickups
- Prepare blood for UPS pickup by EOD and record tracking number
Office Assistance
- Greet all patients & answer office phone, call to schedule/confirm appointments
- Ensure all patient info is entered/uploaded correctly
- Process lab charges when applicable and provide receipt if requested
- Monitor and notify each patient weekly of past due payments
- Document interactions with patients
Qualifications:
- Licensed phlebotomist with extensive experience required
- Interpersonal skills that enable you to work well with other team members and patients
- Attention to detail and efficiency in the oversight of all electronic and patient medical charts
- Positive attitude and desire to actively suggest and implement ideas for growth
- Strong computer and technology skills
