We are seeking a dynamic and professional Receptionist/Medical Assistant to join our prestigious plastic surgery boutique. In this role, you will provide exceptional administrative support at the front desk while assisting our medical team with patient care tasks. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering superior service, a desire to learn or experience in medical assisting, and the ability to cater to the needs of discerning clientele.

• Front Office Duties:

  • Greet patients and visitors with warmth and professionalism, creating a welcoming and upscale environment.
  • Manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, and handle inquiries promptly and courteously.
  • Verify patient insurance information, collect payments, and process billing transactions accurately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and common spaces.
  • Patient Care Support:
• Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring all necessary forms and documents are completed accurately.
• Escort patients to treatment rooms and prepare them for examinations or procedures.
• Assist the medical team with minor medical procedures, including preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing equipment, and providing support as needed.
• Educate patients on pre-operative and post-operative care instructions, answering questions and addressing concerns with empathy and professionalism.

Administrative Tasks:

• Maintain electronic medical records (EMR) systems accurately and ensure patient information is kept confidential and secure.
• Coordinate with insurance companies to verify coverage, submit claims, and resolve billing issues as necessary.
• Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking medical and office supplies.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth workflow and efficient operations within the office.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a medical office or similar setting preferred.
• Certification or training as a medical assistant is desirable but not required; willingness to learn and assist with medical procedures under supervision.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients and colleagues.
• Receptionist experience
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
