Description We are looking for a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our team in Oakdale, California. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the Human Resources department within a healthcare setting. This is a long-term contract position, offering an excellent opportunity for growth and skill development while contributing to meaningful work.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and schedule patient appointments effectively using medical software systems.
- Operate multi-line phone systems to handle inquiries and direct calls appropriately.
- Maintain and update patient records within electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Assist with billing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with insurance requirements.
- Prepare and organize charts and graphs for clinical trial operations and reporting.
- Collaborate with chiropractic and other clinical departments to ensure smooth workflows.
- Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department as needed.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for data tracking, reporting, and analysis.
- Communicate with insurance providers to verify coverage and resolve billing issues.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while addressing patient and staff needs. Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Allscripts, Medisoft, and other medical software systems.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and scheduling tools.
- Strong knowledge of billing functions and insurance processes.
- Ability to operate multi-line phone systems efficiently.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including chart and graph creation.
- Experience in clinical trial operations is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
