Responsibilities
- Serve as the clinical lead for all medication-related operations within the residential program
- Oversee and administer MAT protocols (e.g., buprenorphine, naltrexone, extended-release injectables, as clinically indicated)
- Support medication planning and monitoring for clients throughout a medium-term residential stay (30 days to 5 months)
- Ensure safe medication administration, storage, documentation, and compliance with state and federal regulations
- Coordinate closely with prescribing providers regarding medication initiation, adjustments, monitoring, and client response
- Provide guidance, oversight, and support to LVNs and other nursing staff
- Conduct medication education with clients to support adherence and long-term sobriety
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and clinical team meetings
- Monitor for side effects, withdrawal symptoms, and medication efficacy over the course of treatment
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Support audits, inspections, and quality assurance initiatives related to medication management
Qualifications
- Must be a Registered Professional Nurse with current licensure
- Three years experience with SUD treatment
- Three years experience with low-income, underserved populations
- One year of experience in a supervisory role
- CPR, ACLS, and BCLS Certification
- Knowledge of OSHA, FDA, and HIPAA compliance
- Candidate must be able to lift and position patients on endoscopy stretcher and transport patients
