How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Lead daily surgical suite operations ensuring safe, efficient direct patient care during all surgical procedures.
• Coordinate shift schedules, staffing, and resources to optimize patient care, support interdisciplinary teams, and maintain on-time surgical case flow.
• Prepare and maintain sterile and non-sterile instruments, ensuring compliance with safety standards and accurate instrument counts throughout procedures.
• Assist surgeons during procedures by anticipating needs, managing hemostasis support, and delivering precise intraoperative patient care.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Surgical Assistant credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association preferred.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

What additional preferences we're seeking

• At least 2 years of experience as a ortho surgical technologist
