Experience:

• 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Must have at least 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience with 12 months within the past 3 years.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Staffing Resources Float Pool (ICU/MS/Tele/PCU)

Required Skills/Experience:

• At least 1 year in ICU setting.
• RNs required to titrate drip: Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, - Dobutamine, Insulin. Travelers must be comfortable managing the majority of these drips.
• Nurses must be able to interpret strips.

Required Credentials:

• Clinician must take and pass dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing contract.
• Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility.
• References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Unit and facility details: Nurse Patient Ratios: PCU 1:4 MedSurg Tele 1:5-6.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Weekend Requirements: Every Other.
• Holiday Requirements: Will include travelers in perm staff rotation.

Floating Requirements: Units included in the float pool: ICU, MedSurg Tele and PCU across both campuses and would include inpatients holding in ED. East Campus is Campus 2. East Campus NextCare is 10 bed double occupancy has ICU and stepdown patients, West campus Stepdown is 14 rooms (double occupancy), average census is 20. West med tele is 95 beds, divided into 4 areas. MedSurg is broken down into 10-room pods, double occupancy. First to float.
